I Can't Carry it For you Mr. Frodo, But I Can Carry You!

"I can't carry it for you you Mr. Frodo, but I can carry you!" -Sam Wise Gamgi (Lord of the Rings).
"Beautiful things don't ask for attention." -Sean O'Connel. (Walter Mitty)
"Father, please forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." -Jesus (The Bible).

I like to pretend I'm Sam from the Lord of the Rings.  I act out his lines many times in the bathroom when no one is seeing.  (Sometimes I choose the larger stall in a public restroom just so I have more space to act)  And I frequently say to my friend Squimp when ever she's holding something, "I can't carry it for you Mr. Frodo, but I can carry you!"  Then I do.  I'm not sure how much she appreciates it, but it makes me feel heroic all the same!
Although Frodo's a hero and a great character, Sam is the real hero.  He's loyal.  Brave.  Humble. Cute.  I'd rather be a side kick like Sam then a hero and get all the glory.
I like to say that.  You do too.
And I've just come to the realization: I'm Frodo.
It's dirt to be Frodo.  Always in trouble.  Always getting saved by my friends, not vise versa.  Always putting others in trouble.  Always thinking I know what's right.  And being dreadfully wrong.  Receiving praise even though I don't deserve it.
Being Frodo comes on naturally, like a habit.  My life wraps around, "Poor me.  I have to carry the ring.  Poor me.  I must be pretty humble!  Poor me."  But Sams attitude is very opposite.  Some times I wonder if Sam gets so fed up with Frodo that he wants to give up on him.  But he doesn't, no matter how bad Frodo messes up.
Sean O'Connell says, "Beautiful things don't ask for attention."
Dang it!
I hate that sentence!
I want to be beautiful and I want everyone to see it!  But when I look at it from a distance, it looks like the song 'Ready or Not' by Britt Nicole.  The very first line is, "I like to cover my shine!" and the album is a glowing picture of her in a bright sharply dress.  Hair blowing in the fake breeze.
I can't say I'm any better, but I am better at covering up when I lie.
But it's true.  The most humble people I can think of are the most beautiful people I've ever known, and I don't even know if they realize it!  I want to be like that.

Oh, right.  If you're curious about the new Jungle Book movie:
Entertaining.  Kind of dumb.
The dialog was pretty cheesy, and some parts reminded me of Air Buddies.  But the action was exciting enough to almost make me look past that.  Acting (or, actor) was not the best.  Tolerable I suppose.  Most of the characters were not very likable/relatable, but I really liked Baloo, I thought they did a great job with him.
I'm not exactly a fan of movies created from older (better) movies, so I had to compare it with the old Jungle Book which dampened by view on it even more.
On a scale from 1 to 10, I'd give Jungle Book a 4.

Tragic Deaths, Jesus Freaks, Peanuts, and Probably the Most Random Post I Have Ever Written

Random thing #1
Seems like when ever life is particularly good, something tragic happens.  Or in this case, something fictionally tragic.  Literally three wonderful people in my life died in the last two days.
Its awful.  It's Unfair.
Halfway through reading Cinder from the Luner Chronicles.  The tragedy was unexpected, and I lay in horror, forcing my self to not read another chapter because it was already late.
In my already somber state of mind, I pick up Anne of Green Gables.  I saw it coming, having seen the movie before hand, but mourned pitifully.  I finished the book.  How dare they destroy my dear character and expect me to like the book?  And the worst part is that I fell in love with it.  Cruelty.
About twenty minutes ago I finished watching Captains Courageous.  What possessed me to want to watch that, I'll never know.  I think I liked this character better then those two combined! Yet (I'm sorry to say) it was necessary.  I don't like it when characters come back to life unless it had to happen.  When good characters die for a good purpose, it's because they had to.  As much as I love Loki.......It sort of ruined it for me.
Then there are characters that are meant to come back to life for the better.  Actually for the better.  Like snow white, or Gandalf, or Jesus.  Except Jesus isn't a fictional character.
                                                                                  Random thing #2
Ever heard the Jesus Freak song by dc Talk?  I've had a burst of Jesus Freakishness in the last few days.
I wasn't feeling like praying or reading the bible or singing 'Jesusy songs,' and some peoples methods of worship sort of creep me out.  Like I should be falling on my knees and stuff, or else people wont think I'm a christian.  I hadn't felt like praying, 2nd Samuel is a bit interesting but depressing to know that a perfect guy like David was such a dweeb, all the christian songs I've been hearing have no depth to them.  I wonder why generic songs like that are so popular, it's embarrassing.
I asked God to show me something that would spark me into having more faith in him.
He not only did that in one night, but answered many of my questions too.  About three minutes after waking up from a dream, I snatched my note book and spilled all my guts, thanking God.  It was like he took me to the future in my dream, and reviled himself to me as if the world had ended, if we took away the world, what he would look like.  And its really really really cool.  I saw what worshiping looked like, and I've been hoping with it ever sense.
I can now say that I am an official dweeb-ish Jesus Freak.
Random fact #3
This one is really really deep.
Movie review on the Peanuts movie:
Adorable.  Funny.  It has a mix of it's own plot and plots from the old movies, they pulled it off really well.
It's about Charley Brown and his efforts on gaining self confidence from his looser-like state, and winning the Little Red Haired Girls affections.
On a scale from 1 to 10, I would give Peanuts a 10.

If You're Wondering What a Girls Birthday Party Looks Like...

There are many kinds of birthday party's.  Small ones.  Big ones.  Simple ones.  Complicated ones.  Sparkly ones.  Boring ones.  Supersize ones.  Ones you felt obligated to have but didn't really want.
But being a teen aged girl and having a birthday party is a very different thing all together.  Some times I wish I could put my self in the shoes of the people watching me and my friends, and see what they thing of us.  My most effective way of doing that is to make a comic about it.

Sentenced

Ever been convinced that you were going to die today?  Or maybe you were convinced suddenly that someone else was going to die really soon?  I have more then usual now, probably because of the play I'm in (Our Town) and the book I'm writing (I Wonder If I'll Die Today).  I think it's a good thing to remember, so if you feel like being sentimental with me, grab a cup of coffee and read on.  (Coffee makes everything better.  Including this poem).

                                      SENTENCED

Floor beneath is cold.
Cold as death.
I shake like old.
Misty breath,
I say goodbye to every puff,
Every breath is just enough
For now, I'm just as well dead.
I want to cry as I wait,
The seconds strike my coming fate,
I can't escape.
I know it's too late.
God must be cruel to put me here,
Too scared to even wipe a tear,
To end my life while full of fear.
Every resounding second is a gun shot to the head,
And for those sixty seconds, my fear is blood red.
And then a voice,
So calm it sang,
Through my growing dread.
He sat across the cell from me,
Thorns around his head.
Five more minutes till my death.
Five more minutes to use my breath.
Five minutes to sing with the man in the cell,
What will happen,
I can't tell.
Perhaps die alone and go to hell.
Human as I,
I deserve that fate.
But I have five minutes.
And its not too late.

How I Fell Up the Sky Yesterday and Broke my Face

Hello everyone, hope you had a great Thanksgiving!  I know I did!

First things first, I got a hot date.  His name is Jude Du Dude.

I haven't had a date in like, three years!  I'm so totally excited!
Also, I just watched the new Barbie movie, the Hobbit, so here's a movie review for you:
I thought it was pretty great!  Not much different any other Barbie movie, but very good.  And Lego Laus almost looked real!  Wow, they have gotten much better with their animation.  On a scale from 1 to 10, I would give the Hobbit a high five.

My cousin, Most Wanted, just got a boyfriend too!

Oh, and I also watched Frozen 2, I'm sure you all have!  Here's a movie review any way:
I thought it was not as good as the first.  I especially didn't like the flying cheese puffs.  Those were really cheesy........
I thought it had a great message about how to be good and kind, but I wasn't very sad when Olaf died. On a scale from 1 to 10, I'd give Frozen a .046

Here's a poem about the importance of life and love:

Happiness is good,
It's pretty blasted great,
Sorta like that pizza,
I bought last night, and ate.
But sometimes I'm not happy,
When people tell me "No"
In fact, I'm so unhappy, I dunk my head in snow.
I just thought that might be nice to know.

I'm in a play called Romeo and Juliet.  I play Rock #5.  I'm pretty excited, and it's almost show time!  Please come to my performance, it's on December 39th, at the Sidney Opera House.  $54 dollars per person, but dogs are free.  PLEASE COME!!!!

You may be thinking that I'm board and don't have a life.  Well you're wrong.  It's April Fools......Okay so maybe I am board and don't have a life....But still.  Oh, never mind.

Divergent Vs. the Lego Movie

I suppose I'll get hate mail for this.  Oh well.  Just think of this post as merely a not very good matter of opinion form a very reliable scientific source.
I watched two movies last year that were very similar in very different ways.  The Lego Movie and Divergent.  And when I say Divergent, I'm adding the sequel, Insurgent too.
The Lego Movie is about a not-very-special Lego construction man who lives in an organized city.  The world was over run by the evil Lord Business, who separated everyone in to certain groups and is trying to freeze the world and destroy all master builders.
Divergent is about a lot-very-special girl who lives in an organized city.  The world was over run by the evil Whats-Her-Face, who has separated the everyone into certain groups and is trying to destroy all the divergents.
In the Lego Movie, Emit finds out that he's the special and also a master builder.  He meets many friends, and undergoes a complicated but absolutely adorable romance.  He is in love with Wild Style, but she is dating Batman.
In Divergent, Tris finds out that she's the special because she's a divergent.  She meets many friends, and undergoes a romance.....Nothing complicated.  Not adorable.  Although, I fast forwarded most of the romance scenes in the movie any way.
In the Lego Movie, Emit is captured by the evil Lord Business, and his mentor dies.  It is then that Emit realizes he's not actually the special.  He's just a normal un-special guy.
In Divergent, Tris is captured and her mentor doesn't die because she doesn't have a mentor.  She's still special, although she doesn't think she's special because she's special, or different, just like all the other different special people.  But apparently even more special then them because she's the one the evil Whats-Her-Face wants her evil experiment.  So she feels un-special because she's too special....
In the Lego Movie,  Emit still know's he's not the chosen special, but that's okay.  He saves the world, along with all the other non-special people like him self.  He realizes that everyone is special, and we can all make changes in the world.  "Because you are the special," He says to President Business.  The world is restored.
In Divergent, Tris realizes she's the most special epic person in the world, so her self confidence is restored.  Yay.  She tell the evil What's-Her-Face, "We're not the problem, we're the solution!"  So the world is sort-of restored, and Tris learned a valuable lesson: that she's better then everyone.

These movies you might find very different at first, but the stories are almost the same.  Only in the Lego movie, I felt good about my self at the end.  In Divergent, I felt very un-special and decided if I lived in that world then I would probably be put in the hippy asylum and bake bread the rest of life.  Because no one's as good as Tris.
I thought the characters in the Lego movie were real even though they were plastic.
But the characters in Divergent were very fake to me.  They were just too perfect.  Don't get me too wrong, there were some parts in Divergent I liked.  I liked the music.
If I had too chose between these two movies to tell you that you were special, I would give you the Lego Movie in a heart beet.
But this is just my opinion on the the matter.  Divergent might have deep meaning that I just missed some how, and I don't remember much of the one time I did watch the movies, and I've never read the books.  I'm definitely not an expert on this.

Not a Valentines Day Post

I decided that this post did not fit well with the Valentines day season, because today's post is a bit romantic.  And ever time this holiday rolls around, I'm reminded that Valentines is NOT about romance, but that's the way our stinking culture made it out to be.  So this is NOT a Valentines day post.
I'm not romantic myself.  Chick-flicks have never been my thing.  I don't care for boys, seems like there friendships are built on teasing and who's stronger then who.  And I thought I never knew what true love was until I met....Him!  His name is Puddleglum.  I fell into a burning ring of fire.  He's a skinny, long nosed, webbed footed, Marshwiggle, created by C.S Lewis.  I know we could never be together, because he's too old for me and he's not a very likable fella.  Everyone would think I'm weird.  Plus, he doesn't exist.
In my opinion, there are two kinds of crushes.  #1:  The perfect crush.  They're dashing.  Kind.  Wonderful.  And it just so happens that everyone thinks that you're perfect for each other.
#2:  The not-at-all-perfect crush.  Weird.  Un-holly.  Smelly.  Ugly.  And the worst part is, you like this one better then the perfect crush.
That's me with Puddleglum.  I hope you reading this can sympathize.  Except you, Dory.  You have no feelings.
Here's a comic for you:
